Aircraft Engine Parts for Sale

Certified, traceable and easy to source.

Every turbine, pump, sensor and accessory in an aircraft engine must meet strict safety, performance and traceability standards. Aviatrading makes it simple for aviation professionals to buy and sell engine parts: source the exact component you need from sellers worldwide, or list your engine inventory for free and pay a commission only after a successful sale.

What are aircraft engine parts?

Aircraft engine parts are the thousands of components that make up piston, turbofan and turboprop engines. Each one matters for safe operation and fuel efficiency, and each one has to comply with the rules of aviation authorities such as the FAA, EASA and Transport Canada.

That is why engine parts are bought on paperwork as much as on price. On Aviatrading every listing shows the part number, condition and certificate type, so you can shortlist the right offer quickly.

Common engine components

Engine parts listed on Aviatrading include:

  • turbine blades, vanes and discs;
  • compressor components and bearings;
  • fuel pumps, injectors and fuel control units;
  • ignition and starter systems;
  • gearboxes and oil system parts;
  • exhaust assemblies and nozzles;
  • sensors, filters and seals.

Engine parts by condition

Engine parts are sold in four main conditions:

  • New (NE) — factory-new, released by the manufacturer; used for OEM replacements and stock.
  • Overhauled (OH) — restored by an approved repair station; the usual choice for fleet maintenance.
  • Serviceable (SV) — inspected or tested and ready to install; used in daily operations.
  • As removed (AR) — removed from an engine and not inspected since; typically bought for overhaul or as an exchange core.

The condition is shown on every listing, and you can filter the catalog by it.

Documentation you should ask for

For engine parts, the documents are what make a part installable. Ask the seller for:

  • the release certificate — FAA 8130-3 or EASA Form 1 — for the current condition;
  • part and serial numbers that match the part;
  • overhaul, repair or teardown reports;
  • for life-limited parts, the back-to-birth records showing cycles and history.

The engine parts aftermarket

The engine aftermarket is one of the largest parts of aviation maintenance. Ageing fleets, delays in new engine deliveries and rising MRO demand keep the need for certified, reliable engine components high. Regional, cargo and business aviation are growing, and more operators accept PMA alternatives.

Digital marketplaces make this market faster and more transparent. Read more about the aviation aftermarket, or browse all aircraft parts for sale.
