BOGUS PARTS POLICY

Last Updated: July 31, 2026

1. OUR COMMITMENT

Aviatrading does not tolerate counterfeit, mislabeled, or otherwise unapproved aviation parts on the Platform. An unapproved part that reaches an aircraft puts crews and passengers at risk, and we treat every report as a safety matter.

This policy explains what we consider a suspected unapproved part, how to report one, and what happens once a report reaches us. It forms part of our Terms of Use.

2. WHAT WE MEAN BY A SUSPECTED UNAPPROVED PART

A listing may involve a suspected unapproved part where any of the following applies:
• the part is counterfeit or a suspected fake;
• the documentation is missing, incomplete, or appears to be falsified;
• the markings on the part do not match the stated part number;
• the serial number or trace history is inconsistent or cannot be substantiated;
• the part is presented as approved for installation on certified aircraft without an authorized release certificate;
• the part is subject to a recall, an airworthiness directive, or an export restriction that the listing does not disclose.

3. HOW TO REPORT A LISTING

Every listing carries a "Report as Suspected Unapproved Part" button. Use it to send us the reason for your concern, an optional description, and an optional photograph. You do not need an account to submit a report.

You can also write to [email protected] with the address of the listing and the reason for your concern.

Reports are treated confidentially. We do not disclose the identity of a reporter to the seller.

4. HOW WE HANDLE REPORTS

We review every report we receive. While a report is under review we may remove the listing from the catalogue.

Where a report is confirmed, the outcome may include:
• permanent removal of the listing;
• suspension or termination of the seller account;
• cancellation of open orders relating to the listing, in accordance with our Terms of Use;
• notification of the relevant aviation authority, such as the FAA, EASA, or Transport Canada, where applicable.

We may ask a seller to produce the documentation supporting a listing. Under our Terms of Use, sellers must provide required documentation upon listing or within three (3) business days of request, and we may suspend or cancel listings with missing or inconsistent documentation.

5. WHAT WE EXPECT FROM SELLERS

Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of every listing, including part numbers, condition, markings, trace history, and any documentation they declare.

Certificates selected on a listing are declarations made by the seller. A seller must hold the documentation they declare and must be able to produce it on request.

Listing counterfeit, misrepresented, unsafe, or recalled goods is a breach of our Terms of Use.

6. WHAT AVIATRADING DOES NOT DO

Aviatrading operates a marketplace. We do not take title to, manufacture, refurbish, inspect, store, or certify any part, and we do not issue, validate, or verify airworthiness documentation, including Transport Canada Form One, FAA Form 8130-3, or EASA Form 1.

Certificates shown on a listing are declared by the seller and are not verified by Aviatrading. Determination of airworthiness, installation eligibility, and regulatory compliance rests solely with the buyer, operator, or approved maintenance organization.

7. REGULATORY ALIGNMENT

This policy is aligned with FAA Advisory Circular AC 21-29D (Detecting and Reporting Suspected Unapproved Parts) and with EASA Part-21 Subpart G. It does not replace any obligation you may have to report a suspected unapproved part to your own regulator.
